The Basic Facts.
The first thing I noticed is there is no spell check on this program. So, I apologise for the typos. My name is John. I am 61 years old and have been a widower since July 16, 2001. My wife and I of 24 wonderfull years have two sons Chris 25 and JB 27. JB is back in our home state of West Virginia, where he vows to spend the rest of his life. Chris and I are in Connecticut, where we have been since 1993. I love it here and plan to stay here. Chris on the other hand is young, his life is in front of him and who knows where opportunities may take him. But for now he is with me and he seams to be in no hurry to leave. Which is fine by me.
Life is much diferent for me now and I am just learning to adjust. But I have a boat load of friends in Connecticut and in West Virgina. I also have the greatest brother anyone could have. Although, he is 700 miles away I know he is there for me and he knows I am here for him. (I love ya Man)
I beleive God gives us friends to get us through the tufff times and gives us teenagers to punish us for having sex.
The following is a part of something I wrote after a lot of sole searching. I call it
The First Day of My New Life.
"Today is Wednesday, January 2, 2002 and it is the first day of my new life. I do not know what the future will bring, but I am not looking back and dwelling on the past. I will not live my life in morning or wishing for things that used to be. From this moment on my life will move forward in a positive direction. I will concentrate on those things that are positive and shun the negatives.
My health and positive mental state of mind come first. For I can not help others if I can not take care of myself first.
Many things will impact my life that I have no controle over. But, those things I can controle, I will controle, because I am in charge of my life. And I choose that my life be happy, good, and positive.
With God's help I know I wil achieve these and other goals I set for myself during my new life."

My Hobbies & Interests
Fishing is my brain drain. I plan to have a lot of brain drains this year. I have a motorcicle that I did not get to use last year and I also, plan to make up for that this year. Mostly, I enjoy being with good friends and making every effort of staying away from those who are not.
Because my life is diferent now, I am looking for new things to do and new experiances. Sky diving or bungy jumping are not the kind of things I am talking about. LOL
